I've been a bit busy, and a bit lazy, but it's blogging time B*****s! We have (of course) Kelly going to the Olympics, and currently first place at the XGames. In fact, the entire women's team placed 1-4 in qualifiers, and young Ms. Hollingsworth took fifth. Look out for her in 2014! Everyone here is expecting a podium sweep for the US, but nothing in the future is ever certain. I can say that our US athletes appreciate your support...
In other news, the new stove at TC's is almost too nice, so we can cook your food a lot faster. The weather will be great for snowmaking all week. February will be a busy month, with the Dew Tour, Olympics, and President's week*. We'll be running Filet Mignon, fresh Cod, and rack of lamb for most of the month on the specials board. Also (I bet you didn't know this!) avacados are cheap this time of year, so we'll be doing some dishes with my favorite fruit.
I've instructed our whole kitchen staff to "jump" on February 4th, and spot the landing around March 1st. Rookie of the Year award goes to Cipriano, our dishwasher, who does the work of two men, and never complains.
Tim and Becky are doing well, and will be running a restaurant on Block Island this summer. Josh has a new baby, Gabriel. Brian bought a house. Fast Jack got hit by a plow truck, but is recovering... Moose is filling in for him. The dogs are fine, finally getting along with the cat, and they love all the cold and snow.
Again, I'm sorry I didn't update for 167 days, but I promise to try harder. You can also follow me on Twitter @chefbobcat.
See you soon, and GO KELLY!
